Orthomosaic maps are a grouping of many overlapping images of a defined area which are processed to create a new, larger “orthomosaic” image. We create orthomosiac maps for clients who want high resolution, current mapping of a particular site. Satellite imagery can be outdated by up to 6 plus years which can lead to unreliable planning and analysis requirements. Our drone imagery has 20 times greater image resolution than the likes of Google Earth, creating significant increases in image quality, allowing for greater planning detail. The integrated GPS system in our drones creates geo-spatially corrected images for precision accuracy, and tied in with ground survey data accuracy can be even further enhanced.
